ELKIN — Savannah Blaine Settle, 18, passed away Nov. 1, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center, along with baby son, Ivan Douglas Settle, after pregnancy complications. Savannah was born on March 12, 1998, to James Settle and the late Kelly Pardue. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Wanda Pardue. She is survived by her father, James Settle of Alabama; brothers, Derick Hawkins and wife Cassandra of Ronda, Dillon Hawkins and wife Brittney of Traphill; fiancé, Jonathan Galyean of Elkin; nieces and nephews, Abigail Hawkins, Gracie Hawkins, Benjamin Hawkins, Matt Hawkins, Legand Hawkins; aunts, Lynn Caudill of Elkin, Vickie Settle of Elkin, Tammy McGee and husband Darrell of State Road, Candy Cheek of Elkin, Amy Settle McBride of Elkin; uncles, Neil Settle of Ronda, Allen Settle of Elkin; grandparents, Leon and Barbara Settle of Ronda; great-grandmother, Kathleen Simmons of Elkin; also several loving cousins and extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Community Fellowship Church by the Rev. Michael Osborne and the Rev. Mickey York. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Ronda. The family will receive friends Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
