Sanford Cardon Ricks passed away at his home in Farmington, Utah, on Oct. 25, 2010. He was born on Nov. 24, 1919, in Logan (River Heights), Utah, to Silas Sanford Ricks and Amanda Cardon. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vera (Koshtreff) Ricks; his daughter, Bonnie Grenier (Ray); and Dan Ricks (Sandy); three grandchildren, David Grenier, Dean Grenier (Anne) and Amanda Grenier Cole (Mike); three great-grandchildren, Connor Duke, Emilee Duke and Jesse Ray Cole. He was from a family of 13 brothers and sisters, four of which are survived. Norma, Edna, Floyd and Robert. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army and was at Omaha Beach on D-Day. He made his home in California after the war, then retired to Oregon and then moving back to Utah in 1989. Thank you to the hospice staff at Applegate Home Health Care Center for the wonderful help the past two weeks. There will be no funeral service as per his request.
