Sandra Arguello, 53, returned to her heavenly home on Dec. 31, 2014 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.Sandra was born on April 17, 1961 in Las Vegas to Joe and Jane Fernandez. She graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with a degree in business administration. She married Christy Arguello in 1976. Sandra worked at Clark County School District in Nevada as part of the administration team. She loved working with kids and helping the youth by supporting and encouraging them. Sandra retired in 2013 and dedicated her remaining time to caring for her family, as well as playing an active role at her local church. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with God.Sandra is survived by her husband, Christy Arguello; her daughter and son-in-law, Estrella and Eric Wildenstein of El Paso, Texas; her son, Manuel Arguello; her daughter and son-in-law, Jolynn Arguello and Nathan Valerio of Las Vegas, Nev.; her grandchildren, Brooke Wildenstein, Dominique Wildenstein, and Kaili Valerio; her brother, Joe Fernandez Jr.; her brother, Daniel and Marie Fernandez; her sister, Annie and Vince Romero; and brother, William and Zelda Fernandez; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews whom she loved! She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Aurelia Barela and her parents. The rosary and funeral Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, followed by the burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Civic Center from 1 to 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sandra's life.
