Miss Samya Beach, age 13, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023. She was born on July 21, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia to Samuel Lenord and Alilah Greene Beach. Miss Beach was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She was Baptist by faith and was a member of New Birth Fellowship Church in DeFuniak Springs, Florida pastored by Henry T. Beach. She was a seventh-grade student at Walton Middle School in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She enjoyed drawing and singing in the chorus, as well as helping her uncle sing. She also played the violin in the orchestra. She loved creating videos for social media. She also enjoyed cooking.

Miss Beach is survived by her father and mother Samuel Lenord and Alilah Greene Beach of North Carolina; maternal grandmother Ernestine Greene; two brothers Decari Oden and Khalil Greene; one sister Tamara Greene; uncles Emmanuel Beach and wife Heather, Anthony Beach, Pastor Henry Beach, Chipper Williams, David King Beach and wife Kiara, William Beach and wife Shana, Johnny Beach, Mustafa Greene, Kevin Greene, Carnell Beach; aunties Kate Williams, Marlene Beach, Cynthia Beach, Mary Beach, Connie Beach, Kailah Greene, and Loretta Mcaffee.
