Samuel led a remarkable life, touching the hearts of everyone he encountered. He married the love of his life, Cathy Mary Hunt, in 2010, and together they welcomed their daughter, Elizabeth, into the world. Samuel was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family first. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
After graduating from Wiley High School in 1954, Samuel furthered his education at Indiana State University. He went on to have a successful career at General Motors, where he made a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry as a whole.
In addition to his professional achievements, Samuel was deeply involved in his community. He dedicated his time and energy to helping others through his work with St John AME Church and organization, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and generosity.
Samuel's legacy will live on through his daughter, Elizabeth Ferris, Michael/Erica Hunt, Clifford/Jackie Hunt, Keith Hunt (RIP 2022) and Paul Hunt (RIP 2024), and his eight cherished grandchildren. Though their names may not be mentioned, each one carries a piece of Samuel within them, continuing his spirit of love and kindness.
