On September 27, 2024, Newport News, Virginia said goodbye to a beloved member of its community. Sampson Yearling, born on March 3, 1944, passed away at the age of 80.

Sampson was a devoted husband to Marylynn Yearling, whom he married in 1988. Together, they raised a beautiful family of 10 children.

Throughout his life, Sampson touched the hearts of many. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. Sampson's legacy will live on through his children and the 10 grandchildren he cherished.

Not only was Sampson a dedicated family man, but he also served his country proudly in the Navy. His service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Although Sampson's physical presence is no longer with us, his memory will always be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Sampson Yearling.
