On August 29, Sally E. Milligan 74, of Los Alamos, was called home to be with the Lord. Sally died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born on Oct. 16, 1939 in Long Beach, Cailf. to Victor P. Waters and Ethel V. Waters. Sally married Donald F. Milligan on Nov. 25, 1959 in San Diego, Cailf. She studied at UNM-LA and enjoyed working for Los Alamos Schools. Sally was a compassionate woman that believed in taking care of people and especially enjoyed all of the children she had in her life. Whether it was as a Cub Scout leader, Sunday school teacher, or at the LA Public Schools, she always supported the children. She had a contagious smile that always lit up a room and made everyone feel welcome. During her lifetime she always saw the glass as full regardless of the circumstances. Sally was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy Waters, and son, Daniel Milligan. She is survived by her husband, Donald Milligan; children, Michael Milligan, Timothy Milligan, Kelly Milligan, and Christy Zahn; her grandchildren, Collin and Rachel Milligan, Amanda, Dustin, and Katie-Lynn Milligan, James and Shelby Milligan, and Micayla and Hailey Zahn; as well as her sister-in-law, Anna Lee Brizendine and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
