In loving memory

Sabrina Jackson, 36, of Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on March 15, 1989, in Birmingham, Alabama, and raised in Tyler, Sabrina was a radiant soul whose kindness, intellect, and unwavering compassion touched everyone she met.

Sabrina was a proud graduate of John Tyler High School (now Tyler High School), where she was actively involved in student leadership, drama club, and the yearbook staff. Her love for communication and storytelling led her to pursue higher education at Texas College, right in her hometown of Tyler. She later earned her Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from Southeastern University, equipping her to follow her calling of helping underserved communities. Sabrina most recently served as Program Director for the Atlanta Youth Resource Center, where her leadership and heart made a lasting difference.

Sabrina was the beloved daughter of Harold Jackson Sr. and Denise Caldwell Jackson of Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her two cherished grandmothers, Lillian Caldwell and Mavis Jackson, whose love and wisdom were strong influences in her life.

She leaves behind a devoted and loving family who will carry on her legacy. Sabrina is survived by her brother, Javari Jackson, and his wife, Danielle Jackson, of Fort Worth, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, April Gilmore and her husband Lawrence Gilmore of Fort Worth, Texas, Tanya Mitchell, and her husband, Christopher Mitchell, of Charlotte, North Carolina; her brother, Harold Jackson Jr., and his partner, Luis Rivera, of Oakland, California; and her youngest sister, Maya Jackson, of Birmingham, Alabama.

Sabrina’s vibrant spirit lives on in her many nieces and nephews who adored their “Aunt Bree,” as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends across the country.

Though her time on earth was shorter than hoped, Sabrina lived a life of deep purpose, love, and service. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
— 2 Timothy 4:7 (NIV)
