She lived life with gusto and was jovial with all that she came in contact with. She was a great conversationist and easily made many acquaintances. She was a mother, grandmother "Oma" and great grandmother. She leaves behind her children Maria Schardt of Los Angeles, Andy Schardt and wife Yolanda Schardt of Camarillo CA. Anna Rich and husband Richard of Palm Desert CA. Grandchildren Samantha Schardt, Chris Schardt, Robert Schardt, Jakob Schardt, Evan Schardt, Shiloh Schardt, Patrick Rich, Andreas Rich, great grandchildren Joshua Schardt, Christopher Schardt, Wyatt Rich, and Joline Rich. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jakob and Katharina Schardt and niece and nephew Magdalena and Ludwig. Standing at heaven's gate to greet Ruth will be her beloved husband Albert (1929-2012) son Albert Jr (1957-2012) son Thomas (1960-2003) and her parents Friedrich & Gertrud.
