Ruth Nagel Mock1923-2017Ruth Nagel Mock, 93, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at her Pensacola home with her family by her side. Ruth was born on July 21, 1923, in Corry, PA to George O. Nagel and Julia Orhn Nagel. Ruth graduated from Corry High School in 1941 and from Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing of in 1945. She completed her Bachelors in Nursing from University of West Florida in 1978. Ruth enjoyed family gatherings at her home and spending the summers at her homestead in Corry, PA. She served as a Girl Scout leader to Junior Troop 302 and Cadet Troop 249. She was an avid animal lover and had a special gift for healing sick and wounded animals. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, George Mock, her daughter Ruth Ann Mock and granddaughter Ashlee J. Mock. She is survived by her daughters Barbara Mock England and Valerie Mock Civelli (Joe), sons George Scott Mock (Jewell) and Jeffrey N. Mock (Kay), five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one sister, Charlotte Nagel Burdick, of Massachusetts. A memorial service to celebrate Ruth's life will be Friday, May 19, 2017, at 6 PM at Pine Forest Estates Baptist Church with Pastor James Johnson, and visitation will start at 5 PM.
