Ruth Ann Chickson, 78, formerly of Larksville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at Kingston Health Care.

Ruth was born on March 16, 1938, in Ashley. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Williams and Anna May (Ceaser) Williams.

Ruth was a graduate of Ashley High School, class of 1956. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She married her high school sweetheart, Stanley L. Chickson, and together shared a loving relationship that was extremely special. Ruth had a kind, caring manner that was obvious to anyone who was fortunate enough to know her.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years of marriage, Stanley L. Chickson; adopted daughter, Kristen; and Ruth's sister, Lois Daniel, and her husband, William, of Ashley.

Surviving are brothers, Dale Williams and his wife, Eileen, of Shickshinny Lake, and brother, John Williams and his wife, Johanna, of Rose Valley; son-in-law, Bernard Dziedzic, of Drums; nephew, William Daniel and his wife, Ann, of Mountain Top; niece, Gail Groff and husband, Michael, of Philadelphia; nephew, Mark Williams and wife, Michelle, of Swarthmore; nephew, Kevin Williams and wife, Danille, of Winston Salem, N.C.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville. Private interment will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley.
