Sennhenn, Russell G.FALL RIVER--Russell G. Sennhenn age 85, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Russell was born on November 27, 1931 in Columbus to Clarence and Laura (Wagner) Sennhenn. Russell attended Fall River Grade School and Zion Lutheran Church School. At an early age, he worked with his father on the family farm. Russell served in the U. S. Navy in 1956 and 1957 aboard the USS Cushing with operations in Japan, Hong Kong and the Pacific. He was married to Avada Amundson, the love of his life, on May 17, 1958 in New Rome, Wisconsin. Russell was formerly employed at the Fall River Foundry, American Packaging and Jungs Seed in customer service. Russell enjoyed visiting with people, bowling, hunting and traveling, especially his five trips to Hawaii. Survivors include his wife of 59 wonderful years together; two sons Russell (Patty) of Chetek and Kenneth of Columbus; eight grandchildren Julie (Nick) Gretzinger, Aaron Sennhenn, Laura (Tony) Testolin, Mariah Sennhenn, Spencer (Dana Webber) Sennhenn, Jennifer (Lance Knetter), Jessica, Jagminas (Branden Steczynski) and Michael Murray (Issy Grethen); six great grandchildren Hailey and Tanner Testolin, Ava Steczynski, Kaylee Knetter, Lakelyn Gretzinger and Bradley Murray; two brothers Gene (Alyce) and Wayne (Joan); two sisters Lorraine (Thomas) Kohn and Gladdie Klock; sister-in-law Valieta Griffin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Stephen and daughter Connie Kay; two sisters Phyllis Jacob and Judy Butler. Russell will be dearly missed by his four-legged pal, Bear. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at ZION EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Columbus. Rev. Robert Wilke will officiate. Military honors will follow. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Jensen Funeral & Cremation in Columbus, and from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church on Friday.
