Runa Anderson, 97, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on the evening of Oct. 7, 2007, at the home of her daughter in St. George, Utah, of causes incident to age. Runa was born on Jan. 14, 1910, in Oskarstrom, Sweden, to Johan Leonard Larson and Gertrud Marie Aberg. She married Rudolph Albert Anderson of Richmond, Utah, on Feb. 12, 1929. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They were the parents of four children. Rudolph passed away in 1978. Runa was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served as ordinance workers in the Los Angeles LDS Temple for many years. Her life was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was a blessing for all of them to associate with her for so many years. She has been a wonderful example to her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Runa is survived by a son, Richard L. Anderson (Mildred) of St. George, Utah; and daughters Viola Anderson of St. George and Eleonore Fox (Charles) of Alpine, Utah; nine grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Steven Ray Anderson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, in the Alpine 8th Ward chapel, 50 E. 200 North, Alpine, Utah. A viewing will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Sandy City Cemetery. The funeral is under the direction of Anderson & Sons Mortuary, American Fork.
