Dayton, OH -- Roy J Hoey, 76, affectionately called Budda Hoey, formally of Gaffney, but lived in Dayton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023.

Born on March 5, 1947, Mr. Hoey was the son of the late Willie and Essie Mae Hoey. He attended Granard High School and later went on to serve in the Vietnam War.

Budda loved his family, loved restoring old cars, and occasionally played the piano. He loved great conversations and would talk for hours. He will be greatly missed.
