YORK Rosamond C. (Breneman) Steele, 95, formerly of Saxton, Pa., died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Manor Care Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Steele. Viewings will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 1001 Church St., Saxton, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jill M. Clawson, officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Saxton. Mrs. Steele was born on September 19, 1918, in Saxton, and was a daughter of the late Robert M. and Ora L. (Fink) Breneman. She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Saxton, and had lived most of her life in Saxton, prior to moving to York in 2006. She is survived by two daughters, Sally J. Stabley and her husband, Robert of Dallastown, and Cassie S. Black and her husband, Donald of York; four grandchildren, Matt Black, Mindy Wise, Leslie Appleby, and Michael Stabley; and seven great-grandchildren, Braydon, Laykon, Chloe, Ashlyn, Makenna, Jacob, and Connor.
