Ronald Shondell Brooker, formerly of Juneau, died on December 22. Ron was born on September 4, 1972 in Tacoma, Washington. He was injured while acting as a Good Samaritan near his home in Naches, Washington on December 20, and died on December 22, 2014 after being airlifted to Spokane. Ron lived in Douglas and Juneau and attended school where his Kindergarten teacher was his mother's first grade teacher. Ronald moved to Anchorage and later moved to Wenatchee, Washington where he graduated high school in 1990. Ron moved to Yakima, Washington in his early 20's. He lived a peaceful, loving and happy life as a devoted son, father, husband and friend. Ron never turned away from a person in need or a request for help. Ron is survived by his mother, Georgina Lowe Helland, formerly of Douglas, and step father Tom Helland of Spokane, Washington; his father Mike Brooker of tri-Cities; wife Mickey Brooker, son Luke and step son Tristen of Naches, Washington; aunts Landa Baily and Fryth McComas and uncles Archie and Roderick Lowe, and eight cousins. Ron was predeceased by his grandparents Glenna and Forest Lowe of Douglas and by his great grandparents Dewey and Lillian Cash of Thane. Everyone who knew Ron loved him. He always had something positive to say and always held out a helping hand. Ron was an organ donor. An estimated fifty people benefited from his final and enduring act of generosity. The family is forever grateful to Life Center Northwest, 3650 131st Avenue, SE, Suite 200, Bellevue, Washington, 98006 for their compassionate assistance. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 24, in Naches, Washington.
