Ronald F. KitchenLansingRonald F. Kitchen, 73, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 in Lansing, Michigan. He was born on April 27, 1943 in Lansing to Amy and Raymond Gibson, and at age 4, adopted by Forrest and Margaret Kitchen. He graduated from Everett High School and entered the military, serving for 28 years in the Army and Army National Guard before retiring in 1994. Ron was active in the American Legion Post 238 in Holt, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and was a Forth Degree Knight of Columbus. He liked classic cars, but above all, he loved his role as a grandpa: faithfully attending his many grandkids' activities, events, and just spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Joseph Fletcher, his second wife, Mary Fairchild, his brother, Raymond Gibson Jr., and his best girl, his dog Christmas.Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Guillermina "Wilma" Kitchen; his children, Scott (Judy) Fletcher, Kelli (Joseph) Cicinelli, and Ronda (Scott Williams) Gaedert; his stepchildren, Brent (Rosemin) Earls, Shannon Earls, Raymond (Anissa) Lira, Robert (Dawn) Lira, and Josie (Ben) Kozlowski; his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother, David (Judy) Noonan; and countless close friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 201 W. Miller Rd., Lansing. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, with a rosary to be prayed at 6pm.
