Ronald Joseph Ferrier, age 64 years, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Chalmette, Louisiana.  He was born on September 17, 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He was a retired New Orleans Police Officer who loved to hunt and fish.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Betty Whittington Ferrier and loving daughter, Aimee Ferrier Correa and son-in-law, Joshua Nathan Correa.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Ferrier and Joyce Fetter Ferrier.  He is survived by his siblings Richard A. Ferrier and Mary Ellen Ferrier and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial services and Catholic mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 2320 Paris Road, Chalmette, Louisiana.  Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a mass at 11:00 a.m.  Online condolences may be offered at www.lakelawnmetairie.com.
