Roger Vance PollokWilliamston Roger Pollok was born on April 14, 1947 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Vance and Leah Pollok. He passed away at the age of 70 on May 31, 2017, after battling leukemia for just over a year. Roger was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Pollok. He is remembered by his sons Scott (Charla) Pollok and Bruce (Vanessa) Pollok; grandchildren Stefani, Brendan, Kirsten, Trevor, and Jessica; and great granddaughter Leigha Williams.Roger graduated from Dansville High School where he was active in sports. He went on to attend Adrian College to pursue a career in education, where he played on Adrian's football team. Roger completed his graduate degree in education at Michigan State University. Roger's career began as a teacher and a football coach at Dansville Community Schools, eventually taking the position of middle school principal at Dansville Middle School until his retirement. Roger grew up on the family farm in Wheatfield Township, where he continued to raise sheep with his late wife Nancy and son Bruce, and eventually raising custom beef cattle with his son Scott. He was an active participant in the community as a trustee for Wheatfield Township and member of the NIESA Board.Memorial Services will be June 10, 2017 at 1pm at the Gorsline Runciman Williamston Chapel, 205 East Middle Street.
