With heavy hearts we’re saddened to announce the passing of Roderick Montgomery, who was born on July 2, 1960, in Greenville, SC. He peacefully departed this life on October 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Roderick was the beloved son of Rodney and Rosanna Montgomery, Roderick will be proceeded in death by both parents. He was the devoted husband of Monique Montgomery, whom he married in 2021. Together, they blended a family with three beautiful children: Jasmaine Johnson, Ceaira Johnson, and Chante Johnson. He was also a proud grandfather to five bonus grandchildren.

He attended Wade Hampton High School in Greenville, SC and graduated in 1979. He continued his studies at Florida A&M University, where he graduated in 1985. He pursued a career in engineering, where he made significant contributions throughout his professional life.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family. Use this sudden tragedy as a reminder to always check on your strong loved one Suicide is a battle that we as humans struggle to overcome. Please continue to keep his wife, Monique and stepdaughters Chante, Ceaira, and Jasmaine in your prayers as they mourn the loss of a loved one.

There will be a private ceremony held October 25,2023 in Greenville, SC for immediate family, details will be provided after arrangements are complete. Thank you.
