Mr. Robert Wayne Rodgers (Bob), 64, died Thursday, November 14, 2019, at his home in Abbeville, MS. Born in Lafayette County, MS to the late Robert Rodgers “Rab” and Helen Moore Rodgers. He spent his youth growing up on the refuge where his love for Sardis Lake began.  He graduated from Lafayette High School and Northwest Community college.  Bob was a lifelong resident of Lafayette County and spent many a days in and around Sardis Lake doing everything outdoors from chasing ducks and geese to fishing the back waters.  He had a love for all things “in the lake bottom” especially watching a fine Labrador retriever chasing down the first birds of the morning. Bob Rodgers loved his family, his lab, hunting, fishing and being out in nature.

Bob was precede in death by his sister, Jo Daniels.  Survivors include his daughters, Nikki McLarty and April Rodgers; brothers, Billy Rodgers and Randy Rodgers; sisters Mary Lee McCauley and Jayme White; grandchildren Bo and Abby McLarty.

No funeral services will be held. We will have a celebration of life at a later date.
