FREMONT — Robert D. Troll, Jr., age 58, of Fremont, Indiana, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at his mother's home at Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana. Robert was born on May 29, 1956, in Mansfield, Ohio, the son of Robert D. Sr. and Judith (Rodey) Troll. He graduated from Worthington High School, Columbus, Ohio, in 1974. He worked in the food industry most of his life, and was currently employed at the Fremont Moose Lodge. He had lived previously in Columbus, Ohio, Houston, Texas, and Baltimore, Maryland. Cooking was his life, and he enjoyed music, reading, animals, the lake, and his friends and family, and was a big fan of The
Ohio State University football. Survivors include his three children, Heather and Jeff Salyer of Hilliard, Ohio, Robert and Colleen Troll of Hilliard, Ohio, and Tricia Troll of Hilliard, Ohio; four grandchildren, Payton, Madison, Lillian and Robbie; his mother, Judy A. Troll of Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana; a sister, Tami and Ned Parke of Portage, Michigan; and a brother, Todd and Mary Troll of Des Moines, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Troll Sr., on January 8, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Fremont United Methodist Church of Fremont, Indiana, with Pastor Keith Olson and Pastor Darin Hendrey officiating Memorials may be made to the family, Project Help of Angola, Indiana, or Steuben County Cancer Association.
