Mr. Robert T. Balog Sr., age 66, of New Albany, Pa., passed away Monday evening, Nov. 28, 2016. Robert was born on July 10, 1950, a son of the late John Edward and Lucy Schaffer Balog in Allentown, Pa. He graduated from the Bensalem High School, a member of the class of 1968. He married the former Evelynn Ann Jones of Long Island, N.Y., on April 11, 1998. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and suffered disabling injuries during the Vietnam conflict. He moved and made his home in Overton 1983.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, especially his favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles.He was a member of the A.J. Bird Memorial Post No. 384 V.F.W. New Albany, Pa.Surviving are his wife, Evelynn A. Jones Balog at home; two sons, Robert Balog Jr. of New Albany, Pa., John Paul Balog of New Albany, Pa.; two daughters, Robin (Alan) Hale of Bensalem, Pa., Diana Lynn Morse of Seattle, Wash.; brother, Paul (Debbie) Balog of Lakeland, Fla.; three sisters, Theresa (Herbert) Wagner of Levittown, Pa., Maria Balog Bei of Lynnville, Tenn., and Margaret Balog of Franklindale, Pa. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, John Balog, and by two sisters, Lucy Bossard and Susanne Biache.
