Robert (Bob) EugeneRiddellBob was born on November 30, 1926 in Boone County, Indiana. Bob graduated from Whitestown High School in Whitestown, Indiana in 1944, where he played varsity basketball for three years and was named to the all county team in 1943 and 1944. Bob studied three years at DeForest Training Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Bob joined the U.S. Navy during WWII and served on the U.S.S. South Dakota (BB57) Battleship in the Pacific Theater. Bob was employed as a production supervisor by Western Electric Inc. (ATT tech) for thirtythree and a half years, retiring in 1982. Bob enjoyed bicycling, fishing, golfing, bowling, and traveling. He served as a committee chairman for Centenary Methodist Church in Lebanon In. Bob worked as a United Methodist volunteer (UMVIM) building a church in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic. He also volunteered with the Boone County food pantry. Bob married Eileen Jean Wolfe at the Brides Residence in Rural Zionsville, Indiana on September 28, 1947. Eileen passed away on August 12, 1997. He later married Wanda Jane Couchman who passed away May 4th, 2015. He was preceded in death by parents, John Melvin Riddell and Dorothy Leap Riddell Teter.He is survived by daughters, Cheryl Lynn Fox of Coupeville, Wa. and Pamela Jo Shinaberry of Bethany, La. He leaves grandchildren, Nicholas Todd Fox of Seattle, Wa. Deanna Jo Harris of East Tx., Amber Eileen McPherson of Sparks Nv. Great grandchildren Shea Barnes, Seth Swinford, Cameron Swinford, and Madison McPherson of St. Petersburg Fl.Services will be held at Myers Mortuary of Lebanon In. Tuesday February 14th at 11:00 am.We want to thank the staff of The Oaks of Shreveport Louisiana for all their love and support. A very special thank-you to his care-givers: Katie Finley, Christina Brown, Michaelynn Brooks, LaKieshia Green, and Brittany Belton. He grew to love them very much and the family sincerely appreciates everything done for him and all the hard work, love and kindness they so unselfishly provided. Also a very special thanks to Hospice and their angels from Heaven. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Fisher House Foundation, ( the top rated Veterans charity), at

A very heart felt thank you to both of our parents for sacrificing to take us and our children on many vacations with learning and life changing experiences, and for teaching us all how to be the best we could possibly be. You're finally together now, and that brings us much peace.
