Mr. Robert K. Miller of Lansing died on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was 51.

Mr. Miller was born on April 29, 1962, in Jefferson to Fred "Junior" and Alma Ham Miller.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his mother.

Mr. Miller was a member of Gillespie Community Church. He loved spending time with his family, co-workers and friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Robert had been employed at American Emergency Vehicles for around 13 years.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Tammy Miller; father, Junior Miller of Lansing; sister, Debbie Miller of Lansing; sister, Pam Phillips of West Jefferson; sister, Linda Houck of Granite Falls; brother, Rick Miller of Boone; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Jim Francis and Brother Mitchell Mash. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
