It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Dewar (aka 'Dash') of Elizabeth, Colorado, who left this world on March 12, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on August 5, 1976.
Bobby was a troubled Soul. Bipolar disease made it tough for him to function in a 'normal' society. He was difficult to like, however, he was loved regardless. He nicknamed himself 'Dash' after a poem he once heard and connected to. The poem is as follows...
"I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on the tombstone from the beginning to the end. He noticed first came the date of birth and spoke of the following date with tears. But he said that what mattered most of all, was the DASH between the years."
August 5th, 1976 -----------I hope you had some peace through this Dash of yours ------------March 12th, 2025

Dash was one of the best friends ive ever had. He let this needy teenager sit in his garage and taught her all about cars. Everything I know is thanks to you dash. I will miss the good old days. You teaching me to drive in the old blue truck. Our rides with doogie and Sherlock and all the wonderful times since then. You were always there to listen. I miss our old calls and going to visit and our long drives and working on blue. Ill miss you endlessly. You were so excited to meet the new baby and it breaks my heart you never will. Im glad youre at peace but im so so sad for all of us left here. Ill never forget everything you did for my dad before he passed and all the wonderful adventures we had together. I cant wait to tell Nora all of the stories about her uncle dash even if she doesnt get to meet him this time around the sun. Love you buddy.

Dash, I am honored to have known you and been your Friend and Companion for all these years. We have shared in so many adventures good and bad but if asked would I do it all over again. I would say yes. You taught me how to say "I love you my friend" and Yes I DO LOVE YOU MY FRIEND and that will be forever. I remember when I first met you and Keith. You both were to kind souls. You invited me over to your home and our friendship blossomed into a relationship that lasted for15+ years. You was my 4x4 buddy, Car nut, and best friend. I will never forget our trip to the San Juans. What a blast that was. For someone who never did it before you was a natural and I have pictures to prove it. I remember when you learned of my illness you told me you would be there for me. You called me everyday to check in on me, see if I needed anything, ask to take me places, etc. when you could, you would even drive me places. In verse 57:1-2 "God Sees and Only He knows the real heart of a man. Man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart" Dash you now walk with the Lord in Peace. You are No longer having to be Judged by man for Matthew 5:21-25 saysI "For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life." I know by your words I will see you in Heaven. I know you are with your Dad, Doogie, your Grandparents and you will prepare a place for your Mother and sister whom you told me often you love so dearly. I want to thank you for giving me such a wonderful life and Thank you for all the found memories. With a Heavy heart and a tear in my eye I have to say fair well until we meet again in heaven. Love you my Friend and I am very proud of the man you became.

Dash was one of the greatest friends I ever had. He made a huge impact on a short window of time in my life and I will always cherish that. His larger than life personality was magnetic and up lifting. Gone too soon yet free from troubles. Dash will be missed greatly. My condolences to the family who wishing I had been given the opportunity to meet. Peace and blessings.
