Robert (Tippy) Holguin, 73, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. He was born on November 12, 1943 in El Paso, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco P. (past Cacique of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo) and Manuela P. Holguin, and is survived by his loving wife Gerri Phillips Holguin of 25 years, as well as his brothers: Hector Holguin and wife Magda, and Larry Holguin. He is also survived by his children: son Robby Holguin, daughter Renee Benavidez (Monico), and step-daughter Jill Wenzel (Russell), his grandchildren: Jacob, Jerod, Jonathan, and Justin Ocon, Rodrigo Castro, Priscilla Jennings, Gerri Holguin, Grace and Hope Wenzel, great grandchildren: Olivia, Neveah, Jeremiah, and Judie Ocon, Janae Jennings, and Martin Parra, and nieces and nephews: Sasha, Nissa, Nicolas, Alyssa, Chyne, Beau, and Erick Holguin. Bobby was a native El Pasoan who graduated from Bel Air High School where he excelled in sports. Bobby was an avid team roper who won many roping competitions and buckles and participated in the PRCA national rodeo finals. While he enjoyed hunting and fishing, "Yum-yum! Eat em' up!" he would exclaim, his true passion became golf. He spent most of his free time perfecting his game which eventually brought him 6 hole-in-ones, 4 in a 5 week span. He was a hard-working man who spent 30 plus years in the refinery business. He loved and lived life to the fullest and had many friends from every walk of life. Tippy is and will always be truly loved and extremely missed. We will see you again one day, Cowboy.
