Robert FukushimaSurrounded by his loving family, Robert T. Fukushima, 64, of Tallahassee, peacefully passed away Monday, June 5, 2017.A son of the late Tsuruo Fukushima and Terry Teru Kuniyoshi Fukushima, he was born on September 26, 1952, in Okinawa, Japan. He owned and operated an automotive repair shop. He had resided in Tallahassee for the last 47 years, having come from Okinawa.He was very active in Judo, having attained the rank of Yodan (4th degree Black Belt), and was an instructor with the Leon County Judo Club and TCC Judo Club. He also enjoyed fishing, billiards, water sports and surfing.He is survived by his children, Dustin Fukushima, (wife, Crystal Fukushima) and Ryan Fukushima; grandchildren, Kylie Fukushima and Kate Fukushima; and brother, Scotty Fukushima.A service to celebrate his life will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Hotel Duval.
