RUPPEL, ROBERT ANTHONY, 87 Ocala - Robert Anthony Ruppel, age 87, of Ocala, Florida passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2016. Robert was born on October 16, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores Abramski Ruppel, of 63 years; brother, Gerald Ruppel of King Park, NY; sister, Janet Rafferty of Barefoot Bay, FL; children, Barbara (John) Stefan of Port St. Lucie, FL, Karen (Greg) D'Auria of Norwich, CT, Diane Ruppel of Danbury, CT, Ronald (Maureen) Ruppel of Gainesville, William (Jennifer) Ruppel of Ocala; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army and loved playing poker and traveling to Vegas 50 times with his wife. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather & friend and will be deeply missed. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services on Silver Springs Blvd. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
