Robert Allen JamesGIBSONTON, FL: In loving memory of Robert (Bob) Allen James, 68, of Gibsonton, Florida, formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 25, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. Robert was born on October 19, 1947, in Marion, and was the son of the late Everett Harry and Beulah Mae (Pierce) O'Donnell James. He was a US Army veteran, having served 22 1/2 years. On August 13, 2016, he married Trisha (Hoch) Shields who survives at home. He was a member of the VFW, and enjoyed collecting old car's, gun's, and coins. He also loved to cook for his family and friends during the holidays.Robert was preceded in death by 8 brothers; Everett Jr., Charles (Fats) , Harley, James (Jimmie), Jesse, Franklin, William (Billy), Donald (Donnie), and a sister, MaryAnn. He is survived by; daughter, MaryAnn, son Dave James, step daughter, Kimberly Rodriguez of Texas, 2 grandchildren, and 2 sisters-in-law, Betty and Sue of Marion, and a nephew, Franklin James, of Florida. He is also survived by brothers; Richard Gene (Pat) James, Newnan Ga., and Kenneth (Debbie) James, of Columbus, Ohio. His wish to be cremated was coordinated by the Neptune Society, in Florida, and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Robert will be sadly missed by his friends, and family.
