Rita Burnett, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 65. She was born on December 23, 1960, to Raymond Walker and Rita Williams.

Rita is survived by her ex-husband, Joe Burnett, and their three children: Shenika Walker, Kishta Finch, and David Edmond. She also leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren.

Rita attended school in the Kansas City School District and later went on to work at STAPP Pharmacy.

One of Rita's favorite pastimes was camping, where she could be found enjoying the great outdoors and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

Rita will be remembered for her infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
