Richard J. FlynnWells - Richard J. Flynn, age 85, a resident of Wells, NY died Saturday November 5, 2016 at the Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam. He was born on March 31, 1931 in Bronx, NY. The son of the late; Richard and Dorothy Ackerman Flynn. He was a graduate of William Taft High School in the Bronx. Richard is an Untied States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked at IBM for thirty five years retiring in 1990.He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus St. Mary's Council #4065. He was also a member of the Indian Lake American Legion Post 1392. He loved to work with his hands building things and loved his family and friends.Survivors include his wife; Patricia DiNonno Flynn of Wells whom he married on May 11, 1957 in Wappinger's Falls, NY. He is also survived by his daughter; Patricia (Mark) Monroe and sons; Richard Flynn Jr., Michael (Karen) Flynn and Thomas Flynn. One brother; Dennis (Eleanor) Flynn and one sister; Tina (Gerald) Boucher. Nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive him. Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday November 11, 2016 at the Northville Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 12, 2016 at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Wells at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, Wells.
