Richard H. PippertVero Beach, FLRichard Pippert died peacefully with his wife, Patricia, by his side on December 9, 2016. Dick was born on November 18, 1936 to Horace B. Pippert and Evelyn Harper Pippert. Dick grew up in St. Louis and graduated in 1958 from Washington University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Dick had an extensive professional career in St. Louis, New York and London working with companies including D'Arcy Advertising, Coca-Cola, Ralston Purina, Liggett & Myers and CBS.Dick met his wife Pat while working at Liggett & Myers in New York. They made a home in Greenwich, CT, London, England and Vero Beach, Florida, sharing 40 years of marriage, love, happiness and most of all laughter & fun!In Vero Beach, some of Dick's most cherished accomplishments included his philanthropic and leadership roles with The Arc of Indian River County and the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, where his experience in business, marketing and PR helped strengthen and grow awareness of these organizations. Dick was inspirational and generous at heart. He loved spending time with family and friends whether on the golf course, engaging in friendly banter or debate (he always had to win!) and driving with the top down, music blasting and singing off key to some of his favorite songs. Dick (Papa) was very proud of his children and grandchildren and he was a major force in their lives. He provided them with strong values and appreciation for a work hard and play hard attitude. Dick will be missed by his loving wife Pat; son Greg and daughter-in-law Carey; grandchildren Emma and Charlie; daughter Carrie and son-in-law Gene.
