  • A life well lived

    We are saddened to announce the passing of Richard Cooper, who passed away on October 28, 2024, in Clermont, Florida, United States. Richard was born on July 24, 1928, to Clifford Cooper, Sr. and Margaret Podel.

    Richard is survived by his loving spouse, Caroline Bolton Cooper, whom he married in 1955. Together, they raised three children: Scott Cooper (spouse Beth Cooper), Deri Donnellan (spouse Jack Donnellan), and Glenn Cooper (spouse Cheryl Cooper). Richard also leaves behind nine adoring grandchildren, as well as 11 loving great grandchildren.

    Richard graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1946. He went on to work alongside his brothers in the appliance buiness, followed by the Foxboro Company, Emanon, before becoming a founding member of Control 7, where he dedicated many years before retiring in 1991. In addition to his professional career, Richard also served as a Fire Fighter and as Commander of the American Legion organization, in Plainville, MA.

    Richard proudly served in the Army as a Sergeant in the 2ND Armored Division for 2 years and was stationed in Germany. In his free time, he enjoyed hobbies such as golfing, fishing, hunting, and repairing things.

    Richard will be remembered for his sense of humor, generous spirit, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
