Richard Brehm, a beloved member of the Ceres community, passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 67. Richard Robert Brehm was born on December 8, 1956, to Rex and Catherine Brehm in Castro Valley, CA. Richard was the second eldest of 4 brothers, Jeff Brehm, Greg Brehm, and Carey Brehm. He is survived by his 3 sons, Dane Brehm, Brandon Brehm, and Jeremy Brehm; and his former wife Cathy Brehm (mother of Jeremy and Brandon. He has 3 beautiful granddaughters, Kaylah, Aubrie, and Layla, with whom always put a smile on his face.
Richard drove for Frito Lay for 25 years, from 1990 to 2015, while earning himself many awards, some of which are 1,000,000 miles known as "Million Milers" which are miles driven accident-free, which is quite an accomplishment. He was also a transport driver for DOMINOS from 1984-1990. He earned many driver of the month and driver of the year awards. Additionally, he won the regional gold medal in the company’s olympics, in which he competed against 8 other facilities and won MVP.
Rick as he was known, had a unique sense of humor that was part of his charm and ability to make a instant connection. Always ready to share a laugh, he used humor to connect to others and quickly turn any stranger into a friend. Most times he laughed at his own jokes, his ability to draw people in with his charming personality will be fondly remembered. He touched the lives of many with his kind, generous, and playful spirit. In his spare time was known for his love of NASCAR, Baseball, Basketball, and his love for Cruises! Rest in peace Dad, we love you and will miss you infinitely.
The Viewing will be Wednesday April 24th 4pm-8pm at Holy Angels Funeral Center in Hayward, CA. Richards Funeral Mass will be April 25th at St. Bedes Catholic Church in Hayward, CA at 11am. with the Burial to follow at Holy Sephulchre. All are welcome to Attend.
