Regina CarrilloTurnini 1921-2016Regina Carrillo Turnini passed away on September 6, 2016 at the age of 95. She was born on May 11, 1921 to Julian and Petra Esquibel Carrillo. Regina was a lifelong resident of Houston. She was active as a volunteer at Resurrection Church and School in Denver Harbor. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, warm and friendly smile and her strong faith in God. She was known for her cooking and sewing skills. She was always willing to provide a home for needy dogs and cats. She enjoyed her trips to Coushatta with her friends from the Senior Citizens Center in Denver Harbor. Regina is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rudolph Turnini, Sr. who passed away in 1988. She is survived by her five children Angie Adams (Reno), Rudolph Turnini, Jr. (Pauline), Theresa Turnini-Gillespie (William), Stella Turnini-Kortokrax (Mark) and James Turnini. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 at Forest Park Lawndale from 5:00pm-9:00pm. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016 at 10:30am at Resurrection Catholic Church 915 Zoe, Houston, TX 77020. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale.We want to express sincere gratitude to Lydia and her staff from Comfy Home in Katy, TX., RN Melinda at Methodist West Houston and the Hospice nurses who made our mother's life comfortable in her final days.
