Rea Beckstead BoatrightMesquite, NVRea Beckstead Boatright, the daughter of Isaac Harold Beckstead and Sarah Edna Turner, passed away peacefully at her home April 11, 2017 after a lengthy illness, with her family at her side. As we prayed for her recovery, we knew in our hearts the end was near. As she lay in the hospital bed, she asked to be taken home. We saw the old Rea as her face lit up in a smile we hadn't seen in some time as she saw familiar surroundings.Rea was born on January 25, 1934 near Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from Murray High School. She attended Brigham Young University and University of Utah before moving to California where she worked as an executive secretary to the vice president of Atomics International, a subsidiary of Rockwell International, in Canoga Park. She met her husband Jim Boatright when she called for repair on her IBM typewriter. After retiring, Rea and Jim built and operated a Mexican Restaurant in Agoura Hills, CA. After a second retirement, they moved to Mesquite, Nevada, where they remain today.Rea is survived by her brother Kent; husband Jim; sons: Brian, Travis and Robert; her daughters: Amber, Nikki, Alexis, Autumn; and her faithful Snoopy who cried when she was taken. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Alyn, Robert, Harold, and Barde; sisters: June, Luanne, and Jeanne.Rea will be missed more than words can say, but we know that she is in the hands of her Heavenly Father and is at peace. God bless you, our wife, mother, sister and ANGEL.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11am in the Littlefield LDS Chapel.
