Raymond G. Ramirez passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Ray was born on May 9, 1947, the first of six children born to Raymond and Eliza Ramirez. Ray was a graduate of San Joaquin Memorial High School where he was on the football and swim team. He was retired from State Fund Insurance Co. where he was a Supervisor. Ray loved to play the bass guitar and his passion for playing music was inspiring to everyone who watched him perform. He loved to travel, and two of his favorite places were relaxing on the beach, and watching the San Francisco Giants play baseball in San Francisco. He also liked to play golf, especially hitting "Goof Balls" with all of his grandchildren. Ray is survived by his two daughters, Jackie and Nikki; and many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. A Viewing and Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at St. John's Cathedral on Monday, November 21, 2016, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be held at St. John's Cathedral on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 10:30 a.m.
