Raymond QuigelApril 24, 2017Raymond Boyd Quigel went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 24th, 2017. Raymond, fondly known as Pop Pop, was born on July 29th, 1926 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the son of Melvin and Helen Sprout Quigel. He graduated from Hepburnville High School in Williamsport, PA. Raymond was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during World War II and served in Okinawa. After his service to our country, he worked for the Nabisco Company for 23 years.Upon his retirement, Raymond and his wife Mary moved to Sanibel Island. He has been a volunteer at Cape Coral Hospital for 21 years serving 5881 hours.Raymond was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his brothers Edward Quigel, Ernest Quigel Sr., and Edward Ade and sisters Alice Stephenson and Dorothy Hendry. He is survived by his daughters Kay Earl and husband Tom of Cape Coral and Patti Elkin and husband Bill of Cape Coral; brother William (Arlene) Quigel, VT; grandsons Ryan Earl, Justin (Heather) Dicus, Jeremy (Amanda) Dicus, JJ (Rachel) Dicus; and great grandchildren Abigail, Joshua, Rebekah, Emily, Christopher, Matthew, Hannah, and Everly. He will be missed by all of his grand dogs, especially Charley.There will be a celebration of Raymond's life at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Pkwy, Cape Coral on Saturday, April 29 2017 at 11am. Following the celebration there will be a graveside service with Military Honors and reception at Coral Ridge Cemetery. Please visit
