Randall Ray (Randy) YoungHOUSTON, TX: Randall Ray (Randy) Young died on July 15th, 2015 at his home in Houston, Texas.Randy, the son of Ray and Clyta Young, was born on April 28th, 1956 at Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio. He was a 1974 graduate of John Glenn High School. Randy, a Christian by faith, was admired and respected by many people. He was fun-loving, a world traveler who was always willing to share his life experiences.Randy joined Matthews-Daniel in 1982, and since retiring from his Vice President/Director role last year, was a consultant to Matthews-Daniel's Americas operation. He spent his early career at the core of the energy industry working in oilfield management and on drilling rigs. His many years' insurance adjusting experience centered on physical damage, pipelines, well control, rig and machinery, and pollution claims throughout the Gulf of Mexico and Latin America. Randy also had a role in assisting the American government assess fault in and assisting containment of 2010's Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Randy's expertise extended beyond loss adjusting to include management of a wide variety or risk surveys, risk assessments, valuations, and appraisals.Randy was preceded in death by his father, Ray Young; and his grandparents, Carlos and Adah Musser, and James and Grace Young. He is survived by his wife, Laura, of Houston, TX; his mother, Clyta Young, of New Concord, Ohio; his daughters, Leslie (Dustin) Damron of Westerville, Ohio, and Sydney Young of Houston, Texas, his sons, Brenin (Bonnie) Young, of Thornville, and Zachary Young of Houston, Texas; a sister, Candace (Ron) Shrider of New Concord, Ohio. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Arbour Young, Breleigh Young, Isaac Young, Shelby Damron, and Sawyer Young. He will be deeply missed by a special niece, Melissa (Brian) Stall, and his special nephew, Micah (Tammy) Whitehair.A memorial service for Randy will be held in the New Concord United Methodist Church on August 7th at 6PM, for family and friends.
