WALLINGFORD, CT Rachel Kim Grove Schenk, 42, formerly of York, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the Yale Medical Center, New Haven, Conn. Rachel was born on May 30, 1972, in Seoul , Korea, daughter of John F. Grove, Jr. and Teresa I. (Klinger) Grove of Ft. Myers, Fla. The viewing will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2100 Hollywood Drive, York. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with President Conrad Knudson presiding. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Rachel was a staff member of the in Connecticut and had previously worked as a travel agent for Cruises, Inc. She was a graduate of Billings West High School in Billings, Mont., where her parents were serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a graduate of Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In addition to her parents, Rachel is survived by three children, Chandler J. Collins of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sara Kim Schenk and Joshua S. Schenk, both at home; a brother, J.F. Grove, III; and six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa I. Grove Samuelsen. Rachel was loved by all that knew her.
