Prentis Burton, a beloved member of the Mississippi City community, passed away on April 14th, 2024 at the age of 67. Born on May 5th, 1957, Prentis lived a full and rich life, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Prentis was known for his kind and gentle nature, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a pillar of strength and support for his friends and neighbors, offering words of wisdom and encouragement to all who sought his guidance.

Throughout his life, Prentis was passionate about many things. He had a love for the great outdoors and could often be found exploring the beautiful landscapes of Mississippi City. He had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to his garden, cultivating vibrant flowers and delicious vegetables.

Prentis was also a lover of carpentry, finding solace and joy in the creative expressions of others.

Left to mourn his passing and cherish his memories are the love of his life Ronda Ward Burton; his mother Jessie May Burton ; two sons Lamar Burton (Wendy) and Randy Burton (Susan); one daughter Michelle Burton ; two grandsons Hunter Caffee (Kelsey) and Kamden Burton ; three granddaughters August Caffee (David) and Caitlin Burton (Kory) and Kashlyn Burton.

Prentis will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his presence.
