Curtsinger, Phyllis M.Phyllis M Curtsinger, age 95, a Manitowoc resident, died August 5, 2017 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.She was born on February 27, 1922, in Watertown, MN, daughter of the late Albert and Amelia (Hoffman) Tryon. Phyllis was a graduate of Manitowc Lincoln High School. She married William Curtsinger in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1989. Phyllis was employed as an Office Clerk for Manitowoc Engineering, in the billing department until her retirement. She was active in Girl Scouting, the former PTA President and the leader of the Ladies Aid at Bethany Lutheran for many years. Phyllis was also the State Commander for the Wives of World War II Submarine Veterans. While in this position, attending a conference in Hawaii she was introduced to the Secretary of the Navy. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Sue Curtsinger, Green Bay; Patricia (Gordon) Burdick, Cambridge; two grandsons: Jared (Kelly) Burdick; Derek (Katie) Burdick; five great grandchildren: Kyler, Kobi, Braydon, Mason and Kensley; two nieces: Maxine (Dale) Seiler, Lady Lake, FL; Sandra (Charles) Wunderlich, Fountain City. Other relatives and friends also survive. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband: William Curtsinger; her parents; six siblings; and three nieces and nephews. Phyllis was the last surviving child of Albert and Amelia Curtsinger.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Stephen Melso and Rev. Robert Kujawski with burial to follow and Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Bethany Ev.
