Phyllis L. Dickey, 84Hartford City - Phyllis L. Dickey, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:10 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at I.U. Health Blackford Hospital E.R.She was born on July 25, 1932, in Portland to William Jamieson and Dorothy L. (Gillett) Jamieson-Kile. Both her parents preceded her in death.Phyllis grew up in Portland and graduated from Portland High School in 1950. She married Roger L. Dickey on July 30, 1950, at her mother's House in Portland. He precedes her in death on July 9, 1978.Phyllis retired from Citizens State Bank (now First Financial Bank). She was a member of Sweet Adeline's-Christmas City Chapter. She was an avid piano player, like to crochet, play euchre with her friends and enjoyed bringing her family together. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and Sudoku.She will be sadly missed by her children, Jani D. (husband, Steve) Downhour of Hartford City; Diana S. (husband, Jerry L.) Ring of Hartford City; Terry L. (wife, Beverly) Dickey of Hartford City; Larry L. (wife, Daphne) Dickey of Dunkirk; Bruce W. Dickey (fiancé, Margo) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Brenda L. (husband, Marc) Rench of Hartford City; 27 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene K. (husband, Charles) Anderson of Portland; brother, Ron D. (wife, Harriett) Kile of Hartford City; several nieces and nephews.She is also preceded in death by her grandsons, Jericho Ring, Jeffrey Ring and Elijah Rench.Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Hartford City Wesleyan Church, 1301 S. Walnut St. Hartford City with Pastor David Bannach officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N.
