Phyllis E. HerbertCroswellPhyllis E. Herbert, age 90, a resident of Croswell passed away on Saturday February 18, 2017 at the Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky.She was born on December 24, 1926 in Applegate a daughter of the late Alex and Theresa (Massman) McAllister.Phyllis married Vincent A. Herbert on March 16, 1946 in Sandusky. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2014.Phyllis was a cook at Cros-Lex Schools for over 20 years. She was a longtime member of the Community of Christ Church in Croswell. Phyllis enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her family and friends, she also enjoyed watercolor painting and crafts.Phyllis is survived by six sons, Garey (Barbara) of Croswell, Gregory of Croswell, Brian (Jane) of Saginaw, Brad of Croswell, Vaughn (Marsha) of Croswell and Vance (Janet) of Croswell. 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. A sister Elaine Munro of Sandusky; 2 sister in laws Dorothy McAllister of CA. and Gwen McDonald of S. Carolina; a brother in law Hugh Gordon of Croswell. Several nieces and nephews.Phyllis was preceded in death by 2 brothers Eldred and Donald McAllister, a sister Donna Mae Gordon and a brother in law Raymond Munro.Visitation will be from 2-9 PM on Tuesday at the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Croswell.Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at the Community of Christ Church in Croswell, with visiting at the church from 10-11. Elder Gary Smith will officiate.
