PHYLLIS (ROWE) GANSHERT, 93 FREEPORT - Phyllis (Rowe) Ganshert, 93, of Freeport passed away on Saturday March 30, 2013. Phyllis was born on April 4, 1919, near Warren to Norman and Elva (Williams) Rowe. She attended Deaconess Hospital School in 1940, and married Carl Ganshert on February 28, 1942, at St. Ann's Church in Warren. She was employed as a registered nurse and a member of St. Joseph Church, Red Cross, and the Deaconess Alumni. Phyllis is survived by her sons, Stephen (Linda) Ganshert, Sartell, MN, Philip Ganshert, Stoughton, WI, Jay Ganshert, Freeport; daughter, Cynthia Burgett, Freeport; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Carl. Visitation from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 2, at the Schwarz Funeral Home, 816 S. Galena Ave. Services will be private.
