Phyllis M. EllisLexingtonPhyllis M. Ellis, age 87, a resident of Lexington, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.     She was born on January 2, 1930 in Sanilac Twp., a daughter of the late Paul and Dorothea (Jarchow) Arnold.  Phyllis married Thomas W. Ellis on June 26, 1948 in Port Huron.  He preceded her in death on November 4, 1996.     Phyllis retired from the Van Dyke School Systems in Warren.  She was member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lexington.     She is survived by 5 sisters, June Gardner, Pauline Suerwier, Lois (Sid) Turner, Elaine Campbell, and Sandra (Dick) Hoogerhyde;  brother in law, Robert Burgess; sister in laws Juanita Ellis, Carol Ellis and Marie and Elmer Campbell.  Many, many nieces and nephews.     She is preceded in death by two sisters Juanita Reid,  and  Donna Burgess.  Several brother in laws and sister in laws, Thomas Suerwier, Wayne Gardner, Dick Campbell,  Leland Ellis, Robert and Marilyn Ellis, Charles Ellis, Howard Ellis, Ethel and  James Courtney, Roland (Leona) Ellis and Herbert S. Ellis, Jr.     Visitation will be from 2-9 P.M. on Thursday at the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Lexington.  Funeral services will be held 11 A.M.  on Friday  at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in  Lexington, with visiting at the church from 10-11.    Rev.
