Phyllis B. Lane was born on March 4, 1930 in Porterville to Eugene and Florence Bowles. Passed away in La Quinta, California on October 9, 2017 at the age of 87 years young after a long and full life. Phyllis grew up in Porterville until she enlisted in the Army where she became a cryptographer. Phyllis met Joseph Lane and married in 1953. Phyllis is survived by her sister Doris Ramirez, her four children, Patrick, Jeff, Kim and Michael.Phyllis was a graduate from Porterville High School, Porterville Community College, University of California San Diego and a masters in law from USD. Phyllis found her true passion was teaching in Porterville. Still teaching at age 84 until she was diagnosed with cancer. Phyllis lived her final years in La Quinta, California with her daughter.
