Phyllis Jean AndrusAugust 20, 2017Phyllis Jean Andrus of Fort Myers, Florida passed away at 12:45 AM on August 20, 2017. She was born on March 21, 1938 in Shiloh, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russell and Ruby Keith of Shiloh. Phyllis was a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She and her first husband, the late William (Bill) Coffman raised two daughters and had many adventures both in their careers and at play during their 47 years of marriage. They retired to Fort Myers 22 years ago to fulfill a dream of spending their time with their best friends, Bill and Pat Reid. After her husband Bill's death, it seemed like the adventure days were gone. Then much to her daughters' surprise, Phyllis met Ed Andrus and turned into a giggly teenager. A new life of love and adventure began, with Phyllis and Ed dividing their time between Ed's hometown of Chicago and Fort Myers.Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of seven years, Edward Andrus of Fort Myers. She is also loved and missed by her two daughters and their families, Stephanie and Stephen Killian of Kennesaw, Georgia and granddaughter Eryn, and Cynthia and Bruce Whitehead of Fuqua Varina, North Carolina and grandchildren Dylan and Savannah. Phyllis loved gaining three sons with her marriage to Ed: Scott and Sarah Andrus of Prior Lake, Minnesota and grandchildren Aubre, Ariel and Isabella; Todd and Yetty Andrus of Darien, Wisconsin and grandchildren Crystal, Nick, and Alex ; and Eric and Lena Andrus of Cape Coral, Florida and grandson Jacob. Phyllis loved her family and friends very much and leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of all who knew her. You may wish to honor her memory by giving to Cypress Lake United Methodist Church or Hope Hospice.A memorial service will be held at Cypress Lake United Methodist Church on August 26, 2017 at 1:30PM with Reverend Thom Shafer officiating.
