It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phillip Perkins Sr., who was born on September 12, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana to proud parents Joseph and Francis Perkins. He peacefully left this world on January 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Phillip was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Sharon, whom he married in 1969. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Phillip Jr. and Lindsay. He was also a doting grandfather to four cherished grandchildren.
Phillip dedicated his life to education and served as a respected educator at Warren Central High School until his retirement in 2018. He touched the lives of countless students and colleagues, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
Outside of his professional life, Phillip had a love for music and enjoyed taking piano lessons in his free time. He also had a passion for hunting and spent many weekends in the great outdoors pursuing his favorite pastime.
Despite facing challenges with cancer and heart failure, Phillip remained resilient and continued to inspire those around him with his strength and courage.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Rest in peace, Phillip Perkins Sr.
